Pikmin 4 announced at Nintendo Direct


During Nintendo Direct we saw a succession of very massive trailers. One of these showed Pikmin 4, coming to Nintendo Switch in the course of 2023. After that of Octopath Traveler 2 and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, this is another level announcement for the Japanese company that brings a twenty-year series back to its console.

After just over twenty years from the release of the first chapter, in fact, Pikmin 4 continues the adventures of Pikmin 3, released in 2017 for Wii U and resumed in 2020 in its Deluxe version. After just over three years of absence, therefore, we will be able to resume the adventures of this real-time strategy game appreciated by fans all over the world..

The series revolves around the mission of space captain Olimar, who must retrieve the components of his ship so that he can set off on his journey. The setting is that of a planet, probably the Earth, reduced to a state of abandonment in a post-apocalyptic future. To help him will be the Pikmin, little creatures who live in the meadows helping each other. Despite its short duration, in fact, the trailer focuses on these funny-looking creatures who are awakened by a sort of march. This is a call to arms from the developers preparing for the release of Pikmin 4.
