Forgive Me Father, the adrenaline-fueled Lovecraftian FPS comes out of early access

Byte Barrel recently announced the release of their new horror and retro FPS title, Forgive Me Father. Currently available in Early Access, the game is a Lovecraftian-inspired retro shooter with adrenaline-pumping gameplay and graphic novel visual style.

1C Entertainment (distributors of the King’s Bounty series) e Byte Barrel are working hard to take the title out of early access, adding over 50% more levels to the final build of the game. This is the second job for the developers, after Mythbusters: The Gamesimulation in which the player finds himself trying and studying different myths. Forgive Me Father instead, it will allow us to play as two different protagonists. In detail, players can take on the role of a priest or a Journalist into the dark world dominated by evil, and look at history from both their perspectives. The priest character is one of the new additions in Forgive Me Father: Equipped with its own unlockable skill tree as the adventure progresses, this protagonist not only brings an additional point of view to the story, but also a more than valid excuse to increase the longevity of the title.

With gameplay reminiscent of the classic Doom, Forgive Me Father offers fast-paced action to the beat of metal music in the most classic tradition of the genre. The formula is definitely consolidated, and the retro horror graphic style, as well as the declared inspiration for the works of HP Lovecraft, offer that extra touch that makes the title a possible gem for lovers of the genre.

Forgive Me Father will exit early access on PC through Steam, GOG and Epic Games Store on April 7. The launch price of 19.99 euros is a further welcome choice and could definitely attract more players to the title of Byte Barrel.
