We have had to wait almost a year for one of the new features announced during Google I/O 2021 to start reaching our Android devices, and it does so eight months after it will arrive on iOS. We talk about the function delete the last 15 minutes of our search history.
When Google debuted that feature on iOS in July 2021, Google announced that this feature would come to Android later, but we didn’t think we would have to wait that long, but now we know that in the coming weeks this feature will be available to everyone.

Delete the last 15 minutes of history
This new feature comes** to strengthen the privacy** of Google Search, allowing users a quick way to delete the last 15 minutes of searching so as not to leave a trace of the consultations that we have made during that last quarter of an hour.
At Google I/O 2021, Google announced it’d roll out an option to delete the last 15 minutes of your search history. This rolled out on iOS in July 2021 but was said to come to Android later. Well, it appears to now be rolling out!

This feature has already started to reach early Android users but has not yet been released to everyone. Google has confirmed that they are still implementing this 15-minute deletion on Android and that over the next few weeks they will gradually activate it for their users.
As in iOS, the new function will be found in the menu of the google apps. By clicking on the photo of our profile from the next few days we will be able to see the new option Delete the last 15 minutes. After clicking on the new function, all the searches that we have carried out in the last 15 minutes will be deleted. Yes, as long as we have the search history on.
