Following its announcement at Samsung Unpacked on February 9, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series went on sale from February 25, promising a great overall experience for those looking to buy an Android phone. The lineup includes three devices with the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus featuring iterative upgrades and a significant change to the Ultra version. Last year’s Galaxy S21 Ultra turned its successor the Galaxy S22 Ultra into a device that embodies the essence of Samsung’s popular Note lineup.
Following the announcement of the new devices, Roh Tae-moon, the head of Samsung Electronics Mobile Experience, also confirmed that the Note lineup has officially sunset and the Ultra lineup will be its direct replacement.

But, given the S Pen support without a dedicated silo as the Galaxy S21 Ultra, it may raise the question, do the traditional Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus also support the S Pen?
Unfortunately, Samsung has limited S Pen compatibility only to the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Both the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus will remain as traditional bar phones without access to the productivity-based features associated with the S Pen stylus.
