Motorola has begun to launch devices for all ranges and sectors. One of them is the Motorola Edge 20 Litea smartphone that not only has a fairly large screen, but is also capable of becoming a PC and playing on the television.
For a few weeks we have been testing the high-end terminal and finally we have the review full of Motorola Edge 20 Lite. Will it be good or bad?
DESIGN
The Motorola Edge 20 Lite comes in a fairly clean body, since there are not too many additions and its fingerprint reader moves to the side area. In the chases we also find a small islet with two chambers quite close to the body.
The terminal that we have evaluated has been in blue and it looks quite nice especially when you expose it to the sun. The material is matte polished plastic that prevents fingerprints from getting on while you use the device.

Motorola also adds the classics to this terminal volume buttons, the on and off button (which is the fingerprint reader), the USB Type-C port, the slot for the Nano SIM and the button to call the Google Assistant, without forgetting the 3.5 jack port.
On the other hand, his screen is 6.7 inches and stands out for no longer having the characteristic notch of previous models. In contrast, the Motorola Edge 20 Lite has a small hole that does not generate any kind of black border around the circle.

The Motorola Edge 20 Lite arrives with measures of 166 x 76 x 8.25 mm and weighs 185 grams. Although it is quite light, the device stands out for not having to reach out when you want to open or slide the notification panel.
Likewise, it is a point in favor that it does not have too large bevels that generate some discomfort when wanting to watch your videos. I think Motorola has done a good job in not reducing details of the Pro version to its Lite terminal.
SCREEN
The screen of Motorola Edge 20 Lite is 6.7-inch OLED (20:9), which helps the battery a lot in case you activate the dark mode not only for the use of applications, or for hours, but permanently.
The device comes with a FullHD+ resolution, which helps you watch videos at 60 frames per second. To this is added the 90Hz refresh rate so all animations, between app launches, are smooth.

Also, there is no type of lag or delays between what you touch and what is shown on the display. The automatic brightness is well regulated and it has vivid colors, which allow you to see your notifications even when you are in the sun. The screen is enriched by HDR10+.
In the matter of video playback, the highest rate that can be reached by the Motorola Edge 20 Lite is 1080 pixelsbut I think it is more than enough, since the tone of blacks without too much brightness or whites without bounce of light mean that the immersive experience is not lost.
PROCESSOR AND PERFORMANCE
On the subject of the processor, the Motorola Edge 20 Lite has MediaTek Dimension 720 5Gwhich is quite good especially when loading games with a high level of graphics.
We were able to open applications like Genshin Impact, Call of Duty and even Fortnite itself, and for nothing in the world did we observe lag in the applications. Even if it was set to download while running the game, no slow latency is seen either.

The Motorola Edge 20 Lite takes advantage of those 90 Hz, because they not only give you a plus when opening and closing apps, but they also move to the video game experience.
Of course, the temperature, as you advance in the levels of the game, can rise. However, this is not a problem as the device tends to cool down quite quickly, although we suggest that if you notice high degrees, it is better to let it rest.

The Motorola Edge 20 Lite arrives with 8 GB of RAM, although it can be extended by 1.5 GB more, thus obtaining 9.5 GB of RAM. Similarly, in storage you will have 128 GB, although there is also a 256 GB version.
The brand takes advantage of all its internal components and does not cut performance too much with its older brother. Motorola knows how to take advantage of its resources without the need to add a layer of customization to Android 11.

On the other hand, the function Motorola Ready For can connect wirelessly. That way you can navigate as if it were a second screen for all the files you have on your cell phone and even see it on TV. Of course, everything will depend on internet connectivity and your Wi-Fi network.
CAMERAS
The Motorola Edge 20 Lite has a 108-megapixel main sensor, a 16-megapixel wide-angle sensor with a macro function, and a third 2-megapixel sensor for depth reading..
The Motorola defends itself well if you are in good lighting conditions, especially it is usable for a sunny day. Otherwise, in case a certain nebula or shadow is detected, the images usually come out dull in color.

The good thing is that the device take good advantage of its 108 megapixels, but yes, you must activate this function from the Settings section of the cell phone camera app, otherwise 12 megapixels will come by default.
The details are appreciated correctly and there is no deformation involved in case you have the cenir on the back. Even HDR and automatic mode do not spoil the contrast of your photos, giving them a natural look in a certain sense.or.

Regarding the wide-angle camera, although there is more material to photograph, it tends to lose a bit of the tonality of the main camera, observing colder images and loss of certain details.
Best of all, you can activate macro mode when you get close to an object, which is activated by default on mobile. Even the Motorola Edge 20 Lite gives you notice whether or not you want to use it.

At night, although they are enriched by HDR, they generate some noise, so it is always advisable to take your images when there is a lot of light, although yellow lighting can generate some bounce on the lenses.
Regarding the front camera, it provides good image quality, but as long as there is a lot of light, otherwise the contour will not be captured as desired and noise or pastelization will appear.
BATTERY
The Motorola Edge 20 Lite, with a single charge, can last us up to 2 days in a row and that is a point in favor, as long as you are a user who uses the cell phone to call, answer messages or view some websites.
Otherwise, if you are a gamer user, the battery life of the Motorola Edge 20 Lite can reach up to 8 hours on a single charge.

On the subject of charging, you can get 100% in an hour and a half, while 50% in 40 minutes thanks to its 33W plug.
CONCLUSIONS
- The Motorola Edge 20 Lite defends itself on the subject of its performance. There are no delays involved despite being the younger brother of the Pro version.
- The company provides the necessary components so that the equipment comes out well in terms of performance and battery.
- Energy is another point to highlight. The fact that it goes two days without charging is a success knowing that cell phones do not last a whole day.
- What we should take with a grain of salt are the cameras, because in the shadows they can drop by up to 50% in terms of contrast, hue, saturation, brightness, etc.
