Big tech companies have very easy ways to collect information about you. Just take Google. If you use Gmail, Google Drive, YouTube, Google Podcasts, and an Android phone, think about every piece of information you volunteer. Tap or click to delete everything Google knows about you,
On Facebook, your activity speaks. Let’s say you join a “buy nothing” group. Facebook may infer that you value sustainability or just prefer to save money. This detail goes in your highly specialized profile. Tap or click here to get free content in your neighborhood,
Facebook also knows what you do elsewhere because you can have connected apps sharing your data. You can stop it.

See the apps and games you’ve added to Facebook
If you’ve enabled apps or games to “connect to Facebook” or directly through Facebook over the years, there may be a number of third parties watching what you do. Here’s how to check.
on the computer:
- Click the Down arrow in the top right of Facebook.
- tap Settings and Privacy , Adjustment,
- Choose Apps and Websites in the menu on the left.
On Android:
- Open Facebook app. tap three horizontal lines in the upper right corner.
- Choose Settings and Privacy , Adjustment,
- scroll down Securitythen press Apps and Websites.
- Choose logged in with facebook,
On an iPhone:
- Open the Facebook app and tap three-line menu in the lower right.
- Choose Settings and Privacy , Adjustment,
- scroll down permissions section, then click Apps and Websites,
I’m sure you’ll be surprised to see who has access to your accountand what’s getting your data.

The best way to get more privacy is to block these apps from communicating with each other. They have a huge network which they use to share your data.
Once you’ve got to Apps and Websites following the steps above, you see a list of several apps and websites connected to Facebook.
Kill Removal next to each app to prevent them from collecting your data and sharing information with Facebook.
Deleting an app from App Center means it can no longer access your data. However, this doesn’t remove the data the app already has with you – it only prevents future sharing. It may still have a profile in its records. You can do this Contact the developer directly To ask them to delete this information.
Apps you remove from the App Center can still send you emails. Simply open any unwanted email and click the unsubscribe button.
You’ll lose access to the game or app, so make sure you’re missing years of high scores if you delete a favorite from your Facebook account.
