Honor has stepped on the accelerator in launching new models globally. A couple of weeks ago we met the Honor X8 and now it is the turn of the Honor X9which the company has just made official.
Despite what the numbering might suggest, it is not necessarily the renewal of the Honor X8, but everything indicates that it is the name that the international version of the Chinese Honor X30 will take, with Snapdragon 695 and design “inspired” by the Huawei Mate 40.

Huawei Mate 40 design on Honor mobile
There’s a new Honor mobile in town. His name is Honor X9 and in a way it confirms that the company plans to bet heavily on the mid-range in its Honor X series outside of China. The Honor X8 was announced in Saudi Arabia and the Honor X9 is official in Malaysia. It remains to be seen if these mobiles will reach Europe.
The Honor X9 is a new mid-range mobile with the latest Snapdragon 695, a mid-range 6nm 5G processor that is gaining a lot of popularity in recent weeks. In principle we will have a single version with 8 GB of RAM (expandable with 2 GB more with virtual memory) and 128 GB of storage.
The front of the terminal is monopolized by a 6.81-inch LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution and a speed of 120 Hz refresh and the front camera built into a hole in the center.
This camera for portraits is 16 megapixels, while behind the terminal it incorporates a triple camera with 48 megapixel main sensor. Arranged in a ring as in the Huawei Mate 40, the other two lenses are a macro sensor and another for portrait mode.
The Honor X9 offer is completed with a 4,800 mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging and the fingerprint reader on one of its sides. The terminal launches with Android 11 with the Magic UI 4.2 layer on top and has NFC connectivity.
Honor X9 versions and prices
The Honor X9 is listed on the company’s website in Malaysia, though no price yet. We don’t know yet if it will go on sale in other countries, but we do know that it is available in the colors white, black and blue.
