Nokia introduces new user interface named ‘Pure UI’

Nokia redesigned its logo after six decades. That change was announced last month during Mobile World Congress (MWC) and now the company has more news to share. Nokia announced a new user interface for its devices called ‘Pure UI’.

Nokia introduces ‘Pure UI’ for its Android smartphones and other devices

As many of you know, Nokia has basically been using stock Android for quite some time now. Well, that’s about to change, as the company looks to differentiate itself. The good news is that the Pure UI looks very clean, minimal.

The Nokia Pure typeface is a major part of this design, and you’ll see it throughout the UI. Nokia also introduced new icons, which are based on strokes. Their thickness will vary from device to device.

The company also said that new animations have been added to the mix. They should be sleek, and really enjoyable to use. It is also worth saying that dark mode is supported.

The company has created some standard Pure UI elements for designers to work with. This should make it easy for them to create a screen that is constantly visible, should they choose to do so.

The company says that this UI is suitable for different display sizes and shapes.

Nokia also says that this UI is suitable for various displays, it is not just limited to the phone. You can check out the gallery below to see it on smartwatches, laptops, and more.

We do not have complete information yet, as the company has still not shared complete information. What we talked about here comes from Fandroid, as we are waiting for the nokiapure.com website to be updated.

We’re not sure when Nokia phones will start getting this UI, but we’re guessing soon. We expect the company to share more details soon. This UI certainly looks interesting. The gallery below includes a bunch of images to give you a great look at Pure UI.
