Mobile applications have become essential tools for all users of iOS, a clear example is WhatsApp, the instant messaging platform that your friends, family or co-workers surely use to communicate from anywhere in the world. This time we will teach you how to solve a fairly common problem that has been affecting most Internet users, this is that the Apple App Store does not allow you to download or update any application. Take note.

There are different reasons why Apple does not allow you to download applications from its aforementioned store, for example, one is related to compatibility, because in this case the version of the operating system iOS of your iPhone is not current enough to support that program, you will be unable to run it.

However, lately users with iOS 10 or higher are reporting that the following warning appears when trying to download or update an application from the App Store: “The account does not belong to this Store. Your account is not valid for use in the US Store”, What does this mean? possibly the country of the store has been misconfigured.

THE SOLUTION WHEN YOU CAN’T DOWNLOAD APPS FROM THE APP STORE

  • First, enter the “Settings” or “Settings” of your iPhone, you locate it with the icon of a cogwheel or gear.
  • Click on your name at the top, below it says “Apple ID, iCloud, content and purchases”.
  • A new window will open, tap on “Content and purchases” > “Sign out” > “Sign out”.
  • The next step is to access “Content and purchases” to connect, you will automatically get a message indicating that you will be directed to the iTunes Store of the country in which you purchased your iPhone.
  • Finally, try to download an app.

Changing the region or country of the App Store

Before starting the process, it is recommended that you cancel your reservation subscriptions and wait for the corresponding credit refunds to be made. It is important to clarify that you may lose the balance associated with your Apple ID, likewise, you will have to download your applications, music, movies, books, etc. again, and it is likely that some of these are not available in the App Store of your country, said the technology portal CCM.

  • Go back to “Settings” > “Your name” > “Content and purchases” > “View account”.
  • You will probably be asked to sign in with your iCloud account, put it in and select “Country/Region” > “Change country or region”.
  • Choose your new country/region, of course the one you are currently in.
  • After reviewing the terms and conditions, click on “I accept” > “I accept”.
