Highly Rated Cryptark Free on Steam; the giveaway promotes the upcoming sequel

For several dozen hours you can get the highly rated Cryptark game for free. In this way, the creators remind us about its upcoming sequel, Gunhead.

If you are a fan of the so-called “croissants”, then you will certainly be interested in the giveaway organized by developers from the Alientrap studio. For several dozen hours you can pick up the game they created Cryptark on the Valve platform.

To get the game for free, open its tab on Steam and click “Add to account” (link below). If you are not logged in, the platform will redirect you to the appropriate page. You have less than two days to collect Cryptark the promotion ends on Saturday, October 21 at 7:00 p.m.

Cryptark is a 2D game that combines the principles of the roguelike genre with a shoot’em up. We play the role of an armed mercenary who neutralizes all aliens aboard their procedurally generated spaceship in order to get to the core of the system. The hero has a lot of weapons and gadgets at his disposal – there are over 70 of them in total in the game. However, achieving the goal is not easy, because death means the loss of all progress made. In addition, the ship itself has an advanced defense system.

You can try Cryptark even if you don’t like hard challenges. Today the game received a small update that introduced an easy modereducing the cost of items and providing additional health for the hero.

It is worth noting that it is a highly rated game. On Steam, 84% of almost a thousand reviews are positive.

As the creators themselves admitted, they organized the giveaway so that more players could try Cryptark before the release of the sequel to the title and become interested in it. Gunhead, as this is the title of the sequel, differs from the previous installment in that it is a first-person shooter. Apart from that, the assumptions remain the same – again, the goal is to destroy the alien ship and kill the enemies on board. The death of the hero will result in the loss of all acquired weapons and the game will start over.

Gunhead will debut on November 8 on PS5 and PC. You can try out a demo of the production on Steam.
