Michele Crisci confirmed for the third time president of Unraehis first election to the top of the association representing the foreign car manufacturers operating on the Italian market dates back to 2017. Thanks to his new position, therefore, Crisci will remain in office for the three-year period 2022-2025.
Managing the technological transition is our first goal and we will continue the dialogue with the government. We have two very complicated years behind us, marked by covid, chip crisis and now the war. Nonetheless, we must look to the future with optimism and confidence, said the president and CEO of Volvo Car Italy.
In the speech of thanks, the president reaffirmed his commitment to ensure that Unrae always keeps the added value for the Associates and the credibility towards external stakeholders high. Not surprisingly, Michele Crisci’s goal is confirmed to be that of making the association Unrae more and more the point of reference of the Institutionsso as to provide decision makers with adequate support of ideas and information, essential for better choices to govern the energy transition of the sector.
Unrae will have to be the protagonist of this new phase, playing a leading role, in order to continue to guarantee the health of a sector which is indispensable for the economic growth of our country. Our commitment is to ensure that UNRAE increasingly becomes the reference point of the institutions, to provide decision makers with the necessary support of ideas and information, to be translated into the best choices to govern the energy transition of the sector, he added.
However, the Unrae Study and Statistics Center will be strengthened so that it will also be able to focus on collaborations with other institutions, including academic ones, to carry out both analyzes and sector studies.
In this context, we intend to expand the services provided by Unrae through the subsidiary Rae ’88, which manages a database system that is unique in Italy for its widespread and accurate information. It is essential that the funds are aimed at accompanying the energy transition, without dogmatic impositions and without sacrificing technological neutrality, accelerating the turnover of the vehicle fleet in order to reduce the environmental impact of mobility, concluded the president.
