E3 2022 isn’t happening this year, but Microsoft and Bethesda are moving forward with their respective summer showcases. The Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, as it’s called, will take place on Sunday, June 12. For anyone catching up, Microsoft owns Bethesda in 2020 following its purchase of the gaming giant.
Showcase will feature titles from “partners around the world” from Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda and Microsoft. The event begins June 12 at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET.

Now playing: Xbox and Bethesda Showcase Date Announced After E3 Cancellation | Gamespot News
“The Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase will include everything you need to know about the diverse lineup of games coming to the Xbox ecosystem soon, including the upcoming release of Game Pass on Xbox and PC,” Microsoft said.
Microsoft didn’t provide any details about the game at the event, but Bethesda’s Starfield is a safe bet — it launches on November 11, 2022 and could be one of the biggest games of the year. Microsoft also has new Fable and Forza Motorsport games to be shown. For Bethesda, this showcase could bring more news from MachineGames to Redfall and the Indiana Jones games.
Xbox boss Phil Spencer teased the Xbox and Bethesda event, saying he enjoys visiting the studio and reviewing demos, announcements, and scripts for the showcase. “I feel like a fan who has hid behind the stage while watching the show,” he said.
Getting ready for the event, spending time with the studio reviewing demos/announcements/scripts is one of the most fun parts of the job. I feel like a fan who has hid behind the stage watching the show happen. I can’t wait for 6/12 to show the amazing work of such talented teams.

Everything we see on Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase will be broadcast in over 30 languages, and can be streamed in a variety of locations. These include the following:
ESA canceled E3 2022 earlier this year, but it is expected to return to LA in 2023. Geoff Keighley’s annual Summer Game Fest is coming back this year, though there are no details yet on the specifics of the show. Gamescom is also expected to return this year with an in-person component. Full details of this summer’s video game convention event aren’t available yet, but keep checking back for more.
