300 euro connectivity voucher, who is it and when will it arrive?

The internet bonus – more properly “connectivity voucher“- it had already been disbursed in 2020 to families with ISEE up to 20 thousand euros. In 2022, precisely on 1 March, a further phase of intervention was launched involving small and medium-sized enterprises (details are available in this article).

The third tranche of the connectivity voucher will see the protagonists again familiesthis time those without connectivity services or with connectivity below NGA performance, ie below 30Mbps.

There public consultation on the voucher initiative was started today by Infratela company controlled by Ministry of Economic Development. The families involved – more than 4 million – will be entitled to one discount of 300 euros on the connectivity services offered by operators certified by Infratel. To obtain it, interested parties must contact the operators directly, who will apply the discount on the total cost of the service, activation + monthly fee for a maximum of 24 months. This way, you will come to cover up to 50% of the costs in the reference period (always equal to 24 months).

The resources allocated amount in all to 407,470,769 euros. 275 million will be invested only to guarantee a stable internet connection for families residing in Sicily, Campania, Puglia, Sardinia and Calabria, the most disadvantaged regions from this point of view (many do not have access to the internet or their connection is not fast enough) .

The initiative was born precisely for “To promote and encourage the demand for ultra-broadband connectivity services in all areas of the country, in order to expand the number of families that use digital services using high-speed networks of at least 30 Mbit / s”. Furthermore, again as part of the plan, a incentive the construction of vertical cabling works in condominiums and the promotion of digital identity services such as SPID.

It is not yet known when the voucher can actually be requested; Several more are needed for the plan to be approved steps, including one in the European Commission and one – the last – in the MiSE headquarters. It is therefore likely that we will come back to talk about it after the summer.
