The latest Android beta fixes the issue with storage.

Known to some users as “ghost storage,” the bug was caused by the “Phone and Messaging Storage” app built into the system of some Android devices. Since August of last year, there have been reports indicating that the app was taking up too much storage space at the terminals.

For months, some of the affected users shared their comments with Google. However, it was not until February of this year when the bug was remedied by Google engineers. The patch that puts an end to the error has finally been implemented with the Android 12 QPR3 beta 3. The final version of this edition of Android should be released at the beginning of June, along with the monthly Android update corresponding to that period.
