We are experiencing the operator revolution… at least in terms of routers that distribute among their clients some of them. After the passage of Movistar and its Smart WiFi 6 and just as before, telcos like Digi and Orange did, which has already released the Livebox 6 and Livebox 6+, now is the time for Grupo MásMóvil.

The operators that make up the MásMóvil Group, that is, Yoigo, MásMóvil and Pepephone, are also committed to improving the installation at their customers’ homes and offering them the installation of a router with WiFi 6 technology. Those who have 600 MB or 1 GB fiber will be able to benefit.

Both Yoigo, MásMóvil and Pepephone will allow their customers to choose between four available options. On the one hand between Sagemcom Fast 5670 and the Comtrend GRG-4280us, which until now was exclusive to Yoigo customers with 1 GB fiber. Along with these models now come two ZTE routers: the ZTE F6640 and the ZTE H3640.

With the arrival of support for WiFi 6, customers receive improvements in daily use such as an increase in speed, support for WPA3, more coverage range, lower energy consumption and above all, and given the increasing impact of the connected home, having more capacity to connect more devices at the same time.



Movistar launches a new router and these are the improvements that you will find when they change the HGU model that you have now

As reported by Yoigo in its May magazine, the operator is installing a WiFi 6 router in all new fiber subscriptions. It will be applicable both for customers who have contracted the fiber of 600 as the one of 1 GB (It does not matter if it is only fiber or combined) and Pepephone and MásMóvil customers will be able to benefit from this improvement.

Current customers can ask their operator to replace their router with a new one with WiFi 6. Of course, among the four available models, the one installed at home may vary depending on the fiber footprint of the client’s address, although and as the colleagues of crast.net Móvil warn, they all have similar characteristics.
