Zerocalcare will produce a new Netflix series, it’s official

It will not be the sequel to “Tear off along the edges“, But it’s official: Zerocalcare will work on a new series which will air on Netflix. The news, appreciated not only by longtime fans of the cartoonist, but by all those who have learned about his works and his character through the first series, came during the presentation of the Neflix headquarters in Rome.

It was the same Zerocalcare to talk about the existence of this new series, however making some points clear: first of all it was specified that it is not a sequel to the acclaimed Tear off along the edges (here our review of the series), but of a production on Netflix from scratch, and which above all will have a greater number of episodeswhich will also have a longer playing time compared to the last success.

There is not much information on this, indeed we would say that they are almost nil, however we know that behind the project we will always find the development teams that made the fortune of the first series of Zerocalcare, that is Movements Production And BAO Publishing.

Spoilerino: In this new animated project, Zerocalcare returns with all its narrative world, its unique language and its unmistakable characters in six half-hour episodes.

Zerocalcare is raised in Romewith an artistic background that saw him begin during high school, and that saw him not only draw inspiration from contemporary themes for the times, but also from himselfwhich is found ad being a protagonist and projection in his stories. From a somewhat underground past, he found himself growing exponentially thanks to his intelligent comedy, able to push a huge slice of the public to thinking and reasoning.

Although it had already been on the square for a while, the series Tear off along the edges it was undoubtedly the definitive consecration at national (and international) level of Zerocalcare, of which we can’t wait to discover the new work in collaboration with Netflix,
