Nokia and Karel Start Production of 4.5G and 5G Base Stations in Turkey



Nokia and Karel signed a contract in the first quarter of 2022 to establish joint production in Turkey. And already in May, the first locally produced radio modules are ready to be shipped to customers in Turkey. Together with Nokia Karel, over the past few months, he has completed an enormous project to create the highest quality manufacturing process. Karel engineers were given 5400 hours of training and knowledge and experience at the Nokia Finland Factory in Oulu and locally at the Karel Factory. High production standards and advanced technology machines were ensured. In addition, 80 new jobs were created at the Karel factory to support production. With this partnership, which has now turned into a real production phase, Nokia reaffirms its commitment to the Turkish market and Turkish customers.

Official delegations of local service providers, representatives from ministries and government, as well as representatives from the Finnish Embassy attended the opening ceremony.
