Walmart bets on drones, wants to reach 4 million homes with aerial deliveries

The North American company has teamed up with the DroneUp company to be able to merchandise delivery To over 4 million homes in the United States, in a shopping experience that has been developing for the past few months and has recently been approved for execution. With a cost of transport of $3.99 and a weight which cannot exceed 4.5 kilogramsthe order will reach the customer in less than half an hourperching on the door from your house. The company DroneUp will have its own location within of each supermarket from Walmartwhere will there be certified pilots driving the drones remotely.

Walmartas if that were not enough, not only intends to benefit from this agreement and from a delivery system that avoids traffic jams, but also look around the community and intends to use the drone delivery service to help more people. DroneUp’s technology may also be used to offer assistance to local businesses and municipalities.
