Wednesday: the Netflix series is shown in the first teaser trailer

Wednesday, the new TV series made by Netflix, is shown for the first time through a teaser trailer. Even if, to tell the truth, more than this work, it is the famous Hand of the Addams Family, a historic franchise that has its roots in the distant 30s.

This series was directed by Tim Burton, the famous director who has signed authentic masterpieces in the history of cinema such as Edward Scissorhands, The Chocolate Factory and many, many others. The terrifying Wednesday will be played by Jenna Ortega, an actress we met in films such as The Babysitter 2.

And, surprisingly, in the series created by the streaming giant there will be the Wednesday Addams interpreter of the 1991 film, Christina Ricci. However, we do not yet know in what role we will see her at work. In addition to them, there will be Luis Guzman as Gomez Addams and the great Cathrine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams.

In short, between cast of absolute level and direction entrusted to the skilled hands of Tim Burton, Wednesday, who just today showed himself through the first teaser trailer, really promises sparks. To see it, however, we will have to wait until autumn. And, in all honesty, we can’t wait.

This series, needless to say, will be a spin-off focusing on the figure of Wednesday Addams. In particular, it will focus on the personal growth of the little witch and will show us how she will immerse herself in the reality of a girl of her age, even if it is not yet clear how old she will be in this work.

Charlie Addams, the inventor of this long-lived and beloved franchise, described the girl’s personality as follows:

A child full of sadness, she is bloodless and delicate, with her mother’s raven hair and pale complexion. Susceptible and rather quiet, she loves the outings and underground cave trips that Morticia and Gomez often organize. She is a serious child, staid in dressing and, on the whole, a little lost. Reserved and imaginative, poetic and looking a little worn, she is addicted to occasional temper tantrums. She has a foot with six toes.

We will see if and how long Tim Burton will remain faithful to the description of its creator.
