Boichi (Sun Ken Rock, Dr. Stone) will be making a new webtoon series



Boichi will realize the designs for a new series webtoona typically South Korean digital comic available online.

The new project will start in 2023 through the application LINE Manga and takes the title SUPERSTRING. To writing there is Youn In-wan (Shin Angyo Onshi).

The webtoon it is described and represented as follows:

Boichi is known, most recently, for having achieved Dr. Stone from 2017 to 2022 and for having lent his art to the manga adaptation from 4 chapters of the light novel dedicated to the character of Ace, One Piece Novel Aor One Piece Episode Afor One Piece Magazine. In 2022 the author also made, again for One Piece Magazine, his version of the fight between Nami and Kalifa. The author, recently, was also making an essay on food, however he himself deleted it prematurely because something “sad” has occurred, such as declared by the author.

Dr. Stone: manga and anime

Dr. Stone is a manga written by Riichiro Inagaki (Eyeshield 21) and illustrated by Boichi (Sun Ken Rock). In Japan it is published by Shueisha on the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since March 2017 2022 for a total of 232 chapters. In Italy, the manga is in progress for Star Comics with 19 volumes released so far (we invite you to retrieve the aforementioned number here on Amazon if you haven’t done so yet).

Here is a brief synopsis:

Several thousand years after a mysterious phenomenon that turned all of humanity to stone, Senku Ishigami, an extraordinarily intelligent and science-loving boy, awakens. In March 2020 Shueisha released the manga spin-off inspired by the manga titled Dr. Stone reboot: Byakuya ending with 9 total chapters. The manga was written and drawn by Boichi and the screenwriter Inagaki took care of supervising the dialogues and the reactions of the characters. The history of the spin-off narrated the events of the father of the protagonist Senku, Byakuya Ishigamiand is also available in Italy always for Star Comics from March 2021 (get it here if you are hungry for scientific adventures).

Produced by TMS Entertainment, the manga currently boasts two animated series: the first consisting of 24 episodes and the second, entitled STONE WARS, from 12 episodes. Both were simulcast, in the original language with subtitles, by Crunchyroll in Italy.
