To be able to show even more of this character would be great! Vader is trying his best to kill the part of him that is still Anakin, but there must always be a part of Anakin in him. It’s part of him, and that’s a fun element, I always think about the part of Anakin that is contained in the character “
These premises seem to indicate that the actor is ready to further explore the Dark Lord of the Sith. As in-depth as it is in other media, such as the animated series Star Wars: Rebels or the Marvel comics, the life of Darth Vader in the period of the Rise of the Empire remains one of the most interesting aspects of the continuity of Star Wars. Yet, despite this detail, it was not taken for granted that Christensen would return to playing the Dark Lord of the Sith, as he himself confessed:
For me it was a real surprise. For a long time I thought I would never go back to the character, but in the back of my head I kept hoping that one day I would have this possibility again. Obi-Wan Kenobi was an emotionally surprising experience. He is a character who means a lot to me, and to many other people as well. It is an important presence in popular culture, in a unique way, so being able to continue my journey with Darth Vader was wonderful “
