Imagine there’s a lot to see while going out to local stores but you have to visit a website on your phone to cash in on special offers. It can be awkward and fanciful typing a website address into a phone browser, and chances are some people will just give up and move on. Others will tell themselves that they will do this when they come home and then forget everything. This is where the beauty of QR codes comes in handy. Similar to a standard barcode, a person can scan one of these codes with their phone and are automatically taken to a website or other details such as an email address. Create QR Code on PC or Mac
There are so many code generator websites that you are literally spoiled for choice. So in order not to overthink it, I’m going with the first QR code generator I can find on Google.
Instantly, you can see the amount of data that can be embedded in a bitcoin address, social media links, email, SMS, Wi-Fi, a PDF file, MP3 file, App Store link, image and of course QR code. , a website URL. A QR code usually only has one of these things, so choose the one that’s most important to you.
As soon as you choose which one you want and enter the required information, the code will start appearing on the right side.
You can then adapt your code to have a frame, a different color, and even a logo in between. Once everything looks good, just hit the download button to get the JPG.
Create QR Codes on Android or iOS
On Android or iOS devices, there are obviously third party apps available in the Play Store or App Store, and the website shown earlier will naturally work on your phone. But if you use Google Chrome on Android or iOS, it has a very nifty QR code generator in case you just want to share a website URL.
First, go to the website for which you want to generate the code and tap on the three dots in the top right corner.
Scroll down and tap share,
In the share menu, swipe left until you see QR code, Select it.
Chrome will now generate a QR code for that website URL, with their famous dinosaur logo in the middle. You can download the code to your phone if you want to send it to someone.
If you want to share something other than the URL in your QR code, you’ll need to download a third-party app or use a website in your browser. But if you go the app route, keep in mind which one you use. Read reviews first to make sure the app and developer are reputable. You don’t want to inadvertently spread malware.

questions to ask
Can you scan QR code without app?
You need an app to read a QR code, extract the details contained within, and send it to the required part of your phone (usually your browser). However, iOS devices have a built-in code scanner (via Control Center), and Google Chrome provides a code scanner in their phone screen widget.
Can you get malware on your phone via QR code?
Yes, this has been known to happen. Since a QR code often contains a website address URL, anyone sent to that URL can be redirected to a malware file. All you can do is be careful what codes you scan. If you don’t know who created the code, err on the side of caution.
