A popular predecessor
The situation seems quite strange and unexpected, because the original version of the game, debuting in 2010 on Xbox 360 and 2 years later on PC, turned out to be a great success of the Finnish studio. The production also enjoyed positive opinions (both among reviewers and players). It is therefore puzzling why sales of the remastered version are at such a low level.
Switch as a last resort
The last hope for Alan Wake Remastered Edition seems to be on Nintendo Switch. In 2021, the remaster debuted on PC and eighth and ninth generation consoles from Sony and Microsoft. The conversion for the Nintendo console was released only 2 weeks ago. It’s quite possible that the production of Max Payne’s creators will get up from your knees thanks to this platform. At this point, however, the studio devotes much more attention to, among other things, the second installment of the series, which is expected to appear on the market next year.
