Babylonian collapse devs have ‘no plans to scale down development’ after Rocky Start



Despite its rocky start, Square Enix has confirmed that it has “no plans to scale back development upon the fall of Babylon.”

PlatinumGames’ latest game, Babylon’s Fall, was released earlier this month and was met with mostly negative reviews. On Metacritic, a site that aggregates game reviews, the game currently sits at 42.

In our 4/10 Fall of Babylon review we said it “isn’t a broken action RPG, but it’s not a good one either and it’s one of the ugliest games in several console generations.”

Despite these reviews and more, Square Enix is doubling down and wants to make this game as great as it can be. On Twitter, the official Babylonian Fall Twitter account tweeted a message For fans who want to answer the question, “Is continuing service in danger?”

“No, there are no plans to reduce the scale of development upon the fall of Babylon,” the tweet read. The content by the end of Season 2 is now practically complete and we have started working on Season 3 and onwards.



We will continue to provide new content for the game and improve based on player feedback, trying to keep existing players playing and attract new ones. We would like to thank all the watchdogs who have already worked through the fall of Babylon. Enjoying the world of you, welcome more of you in the future as we look forward!”

The team also revealed new details on Babylon’s Fall Update 1.10 and the NieR: Automata collaboration program. This update adds a new chapter in “Resurrection”, a new map in “Tower of Babylon: Blockade Zone”, a new faction and weapon type, a level cap increase, a new high difficulty level game mode called Gauntlet, and many more.

As for the NieR: Automata collaboration, the event will run from March 29th to April 26th and will feature “a plethora of collaboration items, quests and much more that will allow you to enjoy the world of Nier: Your Heart”. Automata for the content of.”
