With this trick you can remove icon and folder names from your iPhone and iPad.

The indicator screen of the iPhone has not undergone many changes in its history, we have a grid of icons in rows and columns with your name just below. In the ultra versions, we add widgets to the icons. Nevertheless, Apple does not allow to hide the name of the icons and folders, are always present centered just below the icon. But we are going to explain a trick to eliminate them completely.

To create an unnamed folder or icon in iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, we have to resort to Unicode, which includes some interesting characters that remain invisible when we type them. The problem is that not all users are aware of these icons, which are also not available on the iPhone keyboard.

You can put the iPhone icons without name

If you have ever tried to leave the name of a mask empty, you will see how iOS does not allow it and defaults to the name that was already configured. However, using one of the Unicode secret characters we can remove the name of any folder on the iPhone.

A normal space (U+0020) is invisible, iOS or iPadOS prevents it from being used as a folder name because Apple thinks you just accidentally hit the space bar. To trick iOS or iPadOS into accepting a blank folder name, you must use a less common invisible character. There are three characters that work: the U+2800, the U+3164 and the U+FFA0.

The steps to put a blank name in an IOS folder are as follows:

  2. Keep the iPhone home screen long press until the icons move.
  3. Click on the file.
  4. Tap on the Name and delete it.
  5. Hold and tap on Paste and in To accept.
