Google Workspace recommends third-party apps for 2022

The Google Workspace Marketplace is a directory of third-party applications that integrate with Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs/Sheets/Slides, and Forms. Its “Recommended for Google Workspace” apps program is a specific way for “better access for third-party developers” customers and the 2022 version is out today.

Google is particularly highlighting 12 tools. They have been reviewed by the company and a third-party security assessment has been done. Overall, the Marketplace is home to 5,300 public apps and has seen over 4.8 billion installs.

Partners submitting their apps will be evaluated based on the quality of their solution, their strategic investment in Google Workspace integration, and the status of security and privacy.

After your domains are enabled, you can view them in the sidebar or more deeply integrated. Many provide functionality that first-party Google applications do not have and are often tailored for specific enterprise use cases.

  • Aodox: Deeply integrated with Google Drive, AODocs ensures important documents are controlled and easy to find.
  • copper: Automatically update records from Gmail, record and sync meetings with their contacts, and analyze data straight from Google Sheets.
  • dial pad: Automatically populate meeting links in event invitations, sync contacts, and more.
  • Document sign: Provides fast, easy and secure eSignature integration.
  • LumApps: Empowers teams to be more productive, organized and informed with personalized communication and seamless integration with Google Workspace apps.
  • Mailmeteor: Gmail and Google Workspace enables users to send personalized bulk emails.
  • Miro: Intuitively plan engaging meetings and collaborate visually for more aligned, innovative teamwork.
  • RingCentral: Plug in Google Workspace’s apps and OS to make existing workflows easier and faster.
  • Sheetgo: Spreadsheet lets users connect files to create powerful automation.
  • Signacy: Allows users to sign, send and manage documents directly from Google Workspace.
  • Supermatrix: Marketers use Supermetrics to pull data from marketing platforms directly into Google cloud tools such as Sheets, Data Studio, and BigQuery.
  • YAMM (Yet Another Mail Merge): Customize email in Gmail, then track results in real-time and schedule follow-ups from Google Sheets.

Google says these apps will be the first to be recommended and viewed by Workspace customers when they visit the Marketplace. Developers who apply and get featured get access to technical advisory services, early access to APIs, and other new/enhanced benefits.

You can sign up for our Google Workspace developer newsletter to be notified when the next application window opens.
