The Legendary Hero is Dead anime release period has been revealed!

We announced that the manga The Legendary Hero is Dead!known in Italy as The hero is dead! (get it on Amazon!), written and drawn by Subaruichi it would have been adapted into an anime. Now, the release period of the anime has finally been revealed The Legendary Hero is Dead! but to see the episodes we have to wait a bit. The anime will debut in the spring of 2023.

Rion Kujo (Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero, s-CRY-ed) is directing the anime at LIDEN FILMS. Kana Konishi And Yukio Kondо̄ by MOKA ☆ are composing the music. Tohokushinsha is taking care of the sound production while Pony Canyon is responsible for music production. WOWMAX is producing the anime.

Wataru Katō And Shunichi Toki they will both voices the main character Touka Scott. Toki will also play the dead hero Sion Bladan

This is the synopsis:

Touka is just an average (slightly perverted) farmer in the village of Cheza. While he daydreams about being a hero and conquering the girl, the true hero, Zion, is out fighting the demons that threaten to invade the world! But one day, Touka accidentally kills the hero… ?! With the legendary hero dead, who will save the world now ?! Touka quickly buries Sion’s body to hide the evidence, but wakes up the next day to find she is no longer in his body!

The series is written and drawn by Subaruichi and was serialized from December 9, 2014 to December 7, 2020 in the magazine Ura Sunday edited by Shōgakukan. The series entered the final arc on December 6, 2020 and the various chapters have been collected in twenty volumes tankōbon from 12 May 2015 to 18 March 2021. A spin-off titled Yūsha ga Shinda! Kami no Kun-hen debuted in May.

In Italy it was published from 21 June 2017 to 27 October 2021 by J-POP.
