Tubi and Lionsgate tie up to bring 200 fan-favorite movies for free streaming

Chicago – Good news for people who love free movies: Tubi is about to get a lot more of them! Fox Entertainment’s free ad-supported streaming service has just announced that it has struck an exclusive multi-year slate deal with entertainment company Lionsgate. Not only will Tubi add 200 Lionsgate fan-favorite titles to its massive catalog, it will also become the premiere free-streaming home of 30 new feature films.

Those new titles include action thrillers “Spilled,” Starring John Malkovich, Frank Grillo, Cameron Monaghan and Lily Krug, which is already available to stream on Tubi. Police drama is also a part of the deal. “pursuit,” Starring John Cusack and Emil Hirsch, which will hit the stage on June 27. Meanwhile, the WWII epic “Wolf Hound” Trevor Donavan, starring James Maslow and Michael Wayne Foster, will join later this fall. Star-driven titles to be announced soon in the future will include players like Morgan Freeman, Bruce Willis, Mel Gibson, Anna Paquin and Martin Lawrence.

According to a press release, here are some more details about those three new Lionsgate movies:

An action thriller starring Academy Award-nominated John Malkovich (“Red”) and Frank Grillo (“Avengers: Endgame”), “Shattered” follows a lone tech millionaire Chris (Cameron Monaghan, “Shameless”), who becomes the charming, Sexy Skye (Lily) confronts Krug, “Every Breath You Take”), and a passion grows between them. When he is injured, she quickly steps in as his nurse. But Skye’s strange behavior makes Chris suspect that he has more sinister intentions, especially when Skye’s roommate is found dead for mysterious reasons.

  • “pursuit” – Exclusively free to stream from June 27th

John Cusack (“Gross Pointe Blanc”) and Emile Hirsch (“Into the Wild”) star in this action thriller about a tough cop’s hunt for an even tougher criminal. Detective Breslin crosses paths with Calloway (Hirsch), a ruthless hacker desperate to find his wife, who has been kidnapped by a drug cartel. When Calloway escapes from police custody, Breslin joins forces with a no-nonsense female cop to retrieve his prisoner. But is Calloway’s crime-boss father (Cusack) somehow involved in this explosive situation?

  • “Wolf Hound” – Fall 2022. Exclusively free to stream

Starring Trevor Donavan (“90210”), James Maslow (“Big Time Rush”) and Michael Wayne Foster (“Embatled”), and based on the real-life Nazi program KG200, “Wolf Hound” chronicles the story of a Jew. IS – American pilot shot down behind enemy lines. With little more than his cunning and armoire, he must defeat a formidable foe, rescue his captors, and foil a plot that could change the course of the war.

Other Lionsgate titles that are currently streaming on Tubi include Paul Feig’s dark comedy thriller “A Simple Favor”fantasy action epic “Egyptian Gods” and magician robbery movies “now you see Me” And “Now you see me 2.”
