MIUI 14 officially presented: It brings with it a lot of news

Xiaomi finally presented its new MIUI 14 superstructure just a few hours ago. The user interface of the new software is based on Android 13 and brings with it a number of improvements. The portal also informs about it Gizmochina.

MIUI 14 has a reduced firmware size compared to MIUI 13 and comes with improved performance and efficiency. The biggest difference is undoubtedly in the design. Xiaomi did changes in iconswhich are bigger, well their size can be set and adjusted. New home screen widget and folder formats have also been added. This gives users more customization options.

Renewal also brings new widgets for pets and plants. After adding a pet or plant to your home screen, you can interact or play with them.

Better performance, new features

The manufacturer worked to make the software light. This will allow third-party developers to create smoother and more energy-efficient applications. The system memory footprint has been greatly reduced, and all that’s left is eight apps that cannot be uninstalled. In addition, Xiaomi claims that system fluidity has improved by up to 60%.

The overall interest is firmware size which is only 13.09 GB, which is much less compared to previous versions. There’s also a new app cleaner feature that compresses infrequently used apps and keeps only one copy of duplicate files.

The software also brings new notification management options. Users will now be able to close notifications with a single swipe.

MIUI 14 and artificial intelligence features

A great new feature is the ability to extract text from images, which Google’s Pixel has been proud of so far. Users can also press and hold text on an image in the gallery to instantly recognize it. Up to 8 languages are supported. Xiaomi has also improved the Mi AI voice assistant, which can be used to scan documents, translate and filter spam calls.

Family services

The latest version of MIUI is even more family friendly. You can create groups with up to 8 members and assign them different roles with permissions. For example, users will be able to share photo albums with their family groups. Each group member will be able to view and upload new items.

Family services also allow sharing health data, such as heart rate, blood oxygen and sleep. There is also parental controlwhich allows you to limit the time spent on the screen.

This is just some of the news that came with the update. It must be recognized that this is a successful update. Also watch the official video that serves to introduce the new MIUI interface.
