iOS: how to recover deleted files on your iPhone

It happens even to the most experienced. We have all deleted a file or a photo by mistake. No matter you are on your computer, laptop or iOS device, many users have not known how to recover those items they have deleted and they are afraid that there is no chance to get them back.

The portal presented the different ways to rescue these images or documents. A practical guide for use on Windows, MAC, Android and the smartphone and tablet designed by Apple.

If you have an iPhone and/or an iPad, follow the instructions that Mag El Comercio compiled for you and that will be very helpful:

Recover deleted photos

This is the easiest and fastest process. Images are easy to find once they have been removed. You only need to go to the Deleted tab to view those images that we do not want to have in our gallery. Said elements will remain 30 days in this section, after this period they will be permanently deleted. To go to this section we just have to do the following:

  • Go to the Photos app
  • Once there, look for the tab that says Deleted
  • Select the photo to recover and that’s it.

Recover files thanks to iCloud

This alternative is valid for any type of file that is stored on your iOS device. If you have the Backup option activated, you won’t have to worry about accidentally deleting documents.

If you want to verify that you have this option active, follow these instructions:

  • Go to device Settings
  • Click on the user
  • Then choose iCloud and finish the process by tapping on iCloud Backup.

In case you already have the Copy in iCloud and want to have the deleted file again, we show you the steps to follow

  • Sign in to iCloud.com
  • Sign in with your Apple ID
  • Go to the Restore files part and choose the one you want to recover

With this you can have the PDFs, presentations or spreadsheets you need on your iPhone or iPad again.
